Sam joined the Noyle W Johnson Insurance Group in 2003 with the Ritchie Agency acquisition. Sam started in the insurance business in 1988. He worked with the Prudential, the Sawyer Agency and 13 years with the Ritchie Agency. Prior to that, Sam worked around the world in the oil exploration industry. Sam graduated from the University of Vermont with a BS degree. He has completed many industry courses resulting in the CIC and CISR designations. He also has completed parts 1 and 2 of the CPCU courses. Sam is involved in sales of types of property and casualty coverage including life and health. He is active in the community, having served on the Peacham School Board for 12 years and Board of Directors of the Vermont School Board Association. He is a Justice of the Peace in Peacham and a corporator at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital.

Sam lives in Peacham with his wife, Julie. He has 2 children.
