John joined the Noyle W. Johnson Insurance Group in 1985 in a sales position. He graduated from the University of Vermont with a BA Degree. John began his insurance career with the Union Mutual Insurance Company as a property and casualty claims adjuster. In 1989 John became a shareholder and in 1993 moved to Danville, Vt. as branch manager of the Sawyer Insurance Agency, now Sawyer and Ritchie Insurance. John has taken many industry courses to further his career and earned the CPCU designation and the AIC designation. John is a member of the Vt. Chapter of CPCU. John is active in various community organizations, past president and Treasurer of St. Johnsbury Kiwanis, Masons, Knights of Pythias and is on the board of directors for the Northern Counties Health Center.

John lives in Danville with his wife, Dolores. He has 2 sons.
