George joined the Noyle W Johnson Insurance Group in 2003 when the agency purchased the Ritchie Insurance Agency of W. Barnet. George is the previous owner of the Ritchie Agency. He has 29 years of experience in teh insurance industry. George earned the CIC designation in 1989 and maintains that designation through 20 hours of education every year. He is active in industry and civic affairs. He was named Vermont Professional Agent of the Year in 1996 and served as President of the PIA of Vermont. He is active in the community as former Barnet fire chief and fire fighter, Co-founder of the Barnet Rescue Squad, former AAU basketball coach, served on the Board of Directors of Lake Harvey Assocation and the Northern Lights Federal Credit Union. George also served two terms in the Vermont State Senate, 05-06 and 07-08.

George lives in West Barnet wtih his wife, Sue and they have three adult sons.
