George joined the Noyle W Johnson Insurance Group in 2003 when the agency purchased the Ritchie Insurance Agency of W. Barnet. George is the previous owner of the Ritchie Agency. He has 25 years of experience in the insurance industry. George has taken the required courses, earning the CIC designation. He is active in industry and civic affairs. He was named Vermont Professional Agent of the Year in 1996. He served as President of PIA of Vermont. He is active in the community as Barnet fire chief and fire fighter, Co-founder of the Barnet Rescue Squad, Barnet AAU basketball coach, Board of Directors of Lake Harvey Association and the Northern Lights Federal Credit Union. George serves in the Vermont State Senate.

George lives in West Barnet with his wife, Sue, and their 3 sons.
