Peter O. Hood is President of the Noyle W Johnson Insurance Agency, Inc. He graduated from Williams College in 1968. He received his CLU designation in 1980, his CPCU designation in 1981, and his CIC designation in 1995.

Peter began his insurance career 33 years ago with the Aetna Insurance Company in Burlington, Vermont. He joined the Noyle W Johnson Insurance Agency in 1974 and later purchased the agency with Carroll Ayer of Montpelier.

Peter is active in industry and civic affairs. He is past President of the Independent Agents of Vermont and the Vermont Chapter of CPCU. Peter has served on the advisory boards of the Aetna Insurance Company and the Peerless Insurance Company. He is currently the chairman of the Select Board in the Town of Middlesex and is president of Elm Hill, Inc.

Peter lives in Middlesex, Vt., with his wife Mary. He has two sons, Mathew and Alex.
